The different types of cable have different uses. I have been studying about the different cables and now I just want to share some of the knowledge about the cables. Some of the well known types of cable are:

1. Co-axial cable

2. Twisted Cable

3. Optical Fibre

4. Multi-core cable

5. Single Cable

6. Ribbon Cable

These are the some basic types of cable. All the cables have different uses and their applications are totally different. The properties of the cables are different and so as the uses of the cable.

Cable can also be classified according to the application:

1. Bicycle cable

2. Submersible Cable

3. Mechanical Cable

4. Computer Cable

5. Audiovisual cable

6. Wire cable

I have mentioned some of the types of cable according to the applications and there may be many other types of cable other than these. Now in the subsequent posts, I am going to discuss about the different types of the cable individually.
